A great concert dedicated to Mikis Theodorakis was held with a great success at the crowded theater Pallas in Athens.
The legendary symphony orchestra and ballet artists of the national opera of Ukraine united in a creative alliance with the unique singer Mery Linda, the famous pianist Tatiana Papageorgiou and the children’s and mixed choir of the conservatory Kodaly.
The singing of the great singer Mery Linda was accompanied by the leading buzuki soloists Tanasis Vasilas and Yanis Matsukas.
The charming event coincided with the International Day of Persons with Disabilieties. All funds collected from tickets sale will be handed over to the All-Greece Association of Disabled Persons.
The concert was attended by honorary guests: His Beatitude Archbishop of Athens and whole Greece Ieronim, chancellor of the Athens Archdiocese Archimandrite Simeon Voliotis, Minister of Merchant Marine and island policy Mr. Panagiotis Kouroublis, Mayor of Marousi and the president of the Athens Medical Association Mr. Giorgos Patoulis as well as the sponsor of the event Mr. Pantelis Bumbouras accompanied by his wife and the vice –president of Boumbouras Foundation Mr. Spyros Boumbouras.
