Culture is the generator of the socioeconomic development of any society. Development of cultural projects, events and initiatives contributes to our society. That’s why the Foundation supports projects that increase the activity of citizens and organizations to develop the creative potential and to create conditions for meaningful recreation for citizens and guests of different cities.
List of annual projects that are partially or fully financed by the Foundation:
- celebrations on the occasion of the Day of Odessa;
- diplomatic, cultural, educational, entertainment events on the occasion of the Independence Day of Greece in Odessa and Kyiv;
- cultural, diplomatic events on the occasion of the national holiday - OXI Day in Odessa and Kiev;
- holding the festival of Greek culture "Mega Giorti";
- Easter celebration with Greek flavor in Odessa.
Among the major implemented projects:
- opening of the hall of antique art in the Odessa Museum of Western and Eastern Art;
- financial support in organization of the 8th International Greek Song Festival in memory of Tamara Katsi in Mariupol. The winners received a gift - tickets to the Greek island of Lemnos;
- arranged touring of artists of the National Opera of Ukraine in Greece with the concert program devoted to the work of Mikis Theodorakis. All funds collected from the ticket sales were handed over to the Greek National Association of Persons with Disabilities.
In addition, the President of the Foundation Mr. Pantelis Boumbouras acted as the general sponsor of Greece's participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. The country was presented by the singer Demy.
Pantelis Boumbouras has being sponsoring the Black Sea Music Festival, headed by Hobart Erl, for several years.
