Greek businessman initiated large-scale social project “Children of the Region” in Odessa region

The Head of the charity foundation, the owner of the construction company Gefest mr. Pantelis Boumbouras began the implementation of the social project “Children of the Region”. In two days, 150 children from low-income families from the Odessa region received from the Greek patron a new seasonal shoe, stationery sets and toys.

Assistance in organizing of the charity event was provided by the Regional Service for children. The officials formed lists of the most destitute children.
We are talking about targeted assistance “from hand to hand” to orphans, children under care, children from large families, as well as pupils of family-type children's homes.

“I believe that every self-respecting businessman should not only increase his capital, but also help those in need. Children are the future of the country. They are the best investment that will help the state grow and become stronger. My Foundation supports a number of social projects related to youth. Now we have launched a new one - “Children of the Region”. We will help children from low-income families, orphans and those who left without parental support,”said Pantelis Boumbouras.

According to preliminary information, the list consists of more than 700 children in need.
“Gift baskets include shoes, required stationery, toys, and sweets. Shoes are purchased for the upcoming season according to the size that the service for children has given us. Those children whom we will visit at the end of winter will receive spring shoes,”added Anna Kalashnik - the representative of the Boumbouras Foundation.

Gifts from the Head of the Foundation have already been received by children from 4 districts of the Odessa region (Ovidiopolsky, Limansky, Belgorod-Dniestrovsky and Nikolaevsky), as well as from cities of Yuzhny and Belgorod-Dniestrovsky.

The project organizers plan to provide shoes for all children in need until the end of February 2019.
