On 17 June 2016 during the event with the participation of the President of Ukraine Petr Poroshenko the founder of the charitable organization “Boumbouras Foundation” Panteleymon Boumbouras was awarded the Medal of Honor from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine for his contribution to the development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The awards ceremony took place in the Main Military Hospital of Kiev and was dedicated to the celebration of the Public Health Care Worker Day. Mr. Boumbouras received the Medal for his continuous financial support to the military hospitals in Kiev, Mariupol, Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk and Odessa (medical preparations and equipment). The main purpose of the humanitarian supplies is treatment of soldiers from the Antiterrorist Operation.
