Today, the head of the Federation of Greek Societies of Ukraine, Oleksandra Protsenko-Pichadzhi, visited the children's camp of the Athens City Hall, which is located in Nea Makri. This visit was made possible thanks to the help of the Boumbouras Foundation.
At the children's camp, Oleksandra Ivanovna met with the deputy mayor of Athens, Mr. Nikolaos Vafiadis, who is the curator of this program.
In the person of Mr. Vafiadis, Oleksandra Ivanovna sincerely thanked the Mayor of Athens, Mr. Kostas Bakoyannis, for organizing hospitality programs for children from Ukraine in Greece. In addition, an agreement was reached to organize an excursion to the Acropolis for our children.
It should be noted that this is already the second group of children from different regions of Ukraine resting in this camp. This became possible thanks to the cooperation of the Federation of Greek Societies of Ukraine with the Greek-Ukrainian Chamber and the City Hall of Athens.
A lot of activities, delicious Greek cuisine and the gentle Aegean Sea await children at the camp.
Despite the fact that the camp has been closed for the past two years due to coronavirus restrictions, this summer it is welcoming children from Greece and Ukraine.
So let's wish our children a good rest, a cheerful mood and gain strength for the new school year.
