With the support of the President of Charitable Organization “Boumbouras Foundation” Pantelis Boumbouras, on December 21, 2017, the long-awaited opening of the renovated halls of the Antique Art was held at the Museum of Western and Eastern Art in Odessa.
Today, residents and guests of the city will be able to get acquainted with more than 80 exhibits presented in the Museum’s halls.
For the first time a collection of Southern Italian vases, Corinth and Attiki ceramics and other Greek centers were presented as well as a small collection of brittle glass vases by Ancient Rome masters.
Visitors of the exhibition had possibility to see the copies of famous sculptures such as “Hermes and the Infant Dionysus” of Praxitelis, “Apollo of the Belvederes” of Leochares” and “Aphrodite of Milos”.
