On April 7, we celebrate World Health Day with a big sports event for our children with diabetes "With sports to dreams"!
The holiday was attended by Ruslan Puzdrach, Head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Odesa City Council, and Yulia Nikandrova, Head of the Children's Service of the Odesa City Council, and our defenders - Physical Education and Sports Instructors of the military unit 3012 of the National Guard of Ukraine!
A special surprise was a personal greeting to our children from the captain of Real Madrid FC Nacho Fernandez, who has also been living with diabetes since the age of 11, but this did not prevent him from becoming an outstanding athlete and fulfilling his childhood dream of playing for Real Madrid!
Various activities were prepared for the children: a sports flash mob, fun relay races and competitions.
We would like to congratulate and thank those who organized and conducted this wonderful event together with us, namely:
- Ruslan Puzdrach, Head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyiv City Council, and his team: Oleksiy Murin and Hanna Didenko;
- Director of the Regional Center for Physical Health "Sport for All" Hanna Chumakova and her colleagues, as well as creative host Dmytro Bohomolov;
- Director of the B. Litvak Sports School Serhiy Strazov.
The organizers expressed special gratitude to Yulia Nikandrova, Head of the Children's Service of the Kyiv City Council, for supporting the idea of a sports festival for children with diabetes.
In addition, at the end of the holiday, the children received wonderful and useful gifts from organizations and people who responded and decided to support and do a good deed for the children! Thank you!
