On October 4th, the Honorary Consulate of the Hellenic Republic in the city of Kherson was officially opened, resuming its operations since the beginning of the full-scale invasion by the aggressor country, Russia. The opening ceremony was attended by Oleksandr Prokudin, the Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, and Rostyslav Mrochko, the Head of the Kherson City Military Administration.
The event also included a consecration ceremony conducted by the priest A. Kalyta from the Orthodox Church of Ukraine for the consulate premises. The joint meeting provided an opportunity for the leadership of Kherson region and Mr. Pantelis Bumburas to discuss the needs and challenges faced by the residents of the region, gain a more detailed understanding of the necessary assistance, and lay a solid foundation for cooperation between these organizations.
Mr. Pantelis Boumpouras emphasized that the Ukrainian people are doing everything possible in their struggle, but there is a significant challenge - coexisting with the Russian aggressor. In the context of the Ukrainian state, this is an ailment that requires time for healing. All that we can do to achieve victory as soon as possible is to believe in God, donate, and support our military personnel.
