From June 9 to 13, Thessaloniki will host the Odessa Classics International Music Festival, organized with the participation of the city's State Conservatory.
As we all remember, every year the leading cultural event in the field of classical music took place in Odessa. However, it is currently impossible to organize a festival in our city, so Greece took over the main organizing part. It should be noted that since the beginning of the war, the Hellenic Republic has supported our country and expressed cultural solidarity with the Ukrainian people and, of course, with Odesa, which is united with Greece by ancient historical roots.
Panteleimon Boumbouras, the president of the Hephaestus company and the head of the Boumbouras Foundation, bought 200 tickets for this music festival, which will be distributed free of charge by the Consulate of Ukraine in Thessaloniki and the head of the Federation of Greek Societies of Ukraine, Oleksandra Protsenko, to Ukrainians in Greece.
"The people of Ukraine undeservedly suffer and suffer because of the attack of Russian barbarians. We see how Ukrainian churches and cultural institutions, which have no value for them, are being destroyed. That is why it is worth preserving the culture that makes up the great cultural and historical stratum of the Ukrainian people. Now, cultural events for forced refugees from Ukraine are not only about supporting their morale, but also about spreading Ukrainian culture in Europe," says Panteleimon Boumbouras.
It should be noted that the "Hephaestus" company has been a sponsor of the Odessa Classics festival in Odessa for several years in a row.
