In Odessa on 28 October 2016 the national holiday of Greece “OHI” was celebrated with the festive church service in the Holy Trinity (Greek) Cathedral and the compliments to the veterans of the World War II in the Hellenic Foundation for Culture, Odessa branch.
Traditionally the celebration of “OHI” in Odessa began with the church service in the Holy Trinity (Greek) Cathedral and continued with the compliments to the Greeks of Odessa Region – veterans of the World War II from the Consulate General of Greece in Odessa, the Hellenic Foundation for Culture, Odessa branch, the Greek Community named G.G.Maraslis of Odessa Region and the charitable organization “Boumbouras Foundation”.

Then there was a concert where pupils of Professor of the Odessa Music Academy A.V.Nezhdanova Anatoliy Duda took part, as well as the honoured artists of Ukraine Aglaia Polihronidi, the soloist of Odessa Philarmonics, and Viola Demidova, concertmaster, who performed the Greek songs of the war period.
