The President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, presented the patron and businessman Pantelis Boumbouras with an award of distinction for his "humanitarian participation in the anti-terrorist operation".
As it is known, from the beginning of the ATO in the east of Ukraine, the patron began to actively help the Ukrainian army, as well as the cities and villages affected by the war.
Dozens of families from small towns who lost the ability to make a living were offered economic support.
The costs of the rare medicines which were purchased and delivered from Greece for the soldiers, as well as essential medical equipment for the military hospitals, were fully covered by Mr. Boumbouras.
At the initiative of the patron, schools and kindergartens were repaired in the war affected villages.
Currently, the construction of the Greek Square in Mariupol is underway.
