November 10 was the opening of the IX All-Ukrainian Festival of the Greek Song named after Tamara Katsi which took place in the village of Sartana, Donetsk region.
The event was attended by about 100 artists - performers and creative teams from seven regions of Ukraine, villages of Priazovye and Mariupol.
The musical festival is considered to be the largest cultural event for the Ukrainian Greeks of the Donetsk region and is the largest festival of Greek songs in the post-Soviet countries.
The organizer of the event is the Federation of Greek Communities of Ukraine, with the support of Donetsk Regional State Administration and Mariupol City Council.
All financial expenses for the organization of the festival took over the President of the Charitable Organization “Boumbouras Foundation”, philanthropist Pantelis Boumbouras.
"On this day, we honor the memory of the prominent Greek singer, the glorious daughter of Priazovye Tamara Katsi. This year she would have been 60 years old. In addition, this festival is a great opportunity to discover new talents, as well as to promote Greek language and culture in general. I want to thank everyone who organizes this event, as well as takes part as a performer”, said Pantelis Boumbouras.

November 11, the Gala concert of the winners of the Festival took place at the «Ukrainian House» in Mariupol.
